5-1 road trip. Couldn't ask for any more than that. now they come home with the worst home record of any team. amazing isn't it. the bullpen has been amazing. if the starters can give 6 or 7 innings, johnston, torres, and then mesa have been basically lights out. the question is really can this offense keep it up. seems like there are too many holes for this to keep going. we'll see how this keeps going. next three vs. b giles and crew. will they boo him (a la barry) or cheer him (a la sid bream). here's betting on the latter.

1st post in this tiny little world focused on the sports world of Pittsburgh. Initial thoughts:

The Bucs: Nice road trip so far. Nice bats. The wilson brothers are amazingly hot. how long can that last? redman on the bench the last couple of games. good move. bobby hill at third recently. good move. raul mondesi? i guess it's operation shutdown part deux

The Stillers: nice pick of big ben in the draft. what is burress thinking? schedule seems to be in their favor.

The Pens: No money. possibly no season. old building. any good news?

Pitt: Hoops team needs to make the big step. same with the football team. easy sked this year with no miami or vt.
