Start of the real sports season...

Hard to know what to feel about the Bucs these days. Excitement? Maybe. You can already see their opening day line-up for next year:
- 1B: Eldred
- 2B: Castillo
- SS: Wilson
- 3B: Sanchez/Macowiak/Bautista/Wiggington
- LF: Bay
- CF: Duffy
- RF: C. Wilson
- C: Doumit
- P: Duke
If I were Dave Littlefield, I would see what trade value could be had for Cota if you really believe in Doumit. Maybe package him with someone like Wells or Fogg. Good to see these guys get playing time this year, but frustrating beyond belief to watch their mistakes.

But, as the Pirates season starts showing up in the rear view mirror, the real 3 sports in town are about to start:
- Pitt football: When was the last time that there was more excitement for the 1st game of their season than for this year's ND game in primetime on national TV with ESPN GameDay in town (Not so fast my friend...)
- Steelers: No explanation necessary.
- Penguins: Crosby, Palffy, Recchi, Gonchar. The only worry is that they are getting too old too fast.
